The Destination

A Healing Destination Where Luxury Meets Medicine

Located on the famous and idyllic German Weinstrasse or Wine Street, Villa Medica is a carefully restored historic house dating back to 1897. Situated between Landau in the Palatinate and Neustadt, the villa can be reached in about one and a half hours (1.5 hrs) by car from the Frankfurt airport. Neighboring larger cities include Mannheim and Karlsruhe.

Nestled amidst acres of lush, green forest, the elegant Villa Medica sits in the beautiful town of Edenkoben in Rheinland-Palatinate. This natural setting, together with the warm and inviting service of the Villa Medica staff, offers a peaceful sanctuary that is ideal for rest and recovery.

Edenkoben located on the Southern Wine Road at the foothills of the Palatinate Forest looks back on a history more than 1200 years old. King Ludwig I (1786–1868) appreciated the mild climate and the beautiful landscape and had his summer residence Castle Ludwigshöhe built there.

Winegrower houses covered with vines, small old lanes, and romantic corners are typical of this recreational area. Since the quality of the soil is excellent and the climate is almost Mediterranean, famous vineyards grow figs as well as almonds.

Heidelberg, one of Europe’s most famous and oldest universities, is also within proximity, and certainly worth a visit.

The famous “Riesling” and “Chardonnay”—and many more—are produced here. It is nearby the Alsace in France and one can have extensive sightseeing tours of the German and French neighborhood of the clinic.
